7. Do I qualify for subsidies?
The Affordable Care Act makes health insurance more affordable by offering subsidies to qualifying individuals. Subsidies are available on a sliding scale, based on income. If you make less than four times your state’s poverty level (400 percent of FPL), you will most likely qualify for some sort of subsidy.
